I started shooting Production Optics with my Shadow SP 01 that Rémy from Alfa Precision had machined to install a Shield Mini-Sight 4 MOA red dot . In the meantime, I had Thierry from Armurerie de la bourse take over my other CZ SP 01 for the purchase of a CZ Shadow 2 as soon as it was available (end of 2016).

I tested all possible mountings for Shield the red dot on the Shadow 2. The plates from CZ Custom (when they were still sending out the US), Tony System plate to end up mounting the plate made by Shield. She marries the slide of the Shadow 2. It was the best integration of a red dot on the Shadow 2.

After around 90,000 shots, The Shadow 2 broke, design problem on early models. Since 2017, CZ has remedied this problem by modifying the frame. So I bought a Prod Optic Ready CZ Shadow 2 at Armurerie de la Bourse (Via Eric, Thierry did not have in stock, he wanted to sell me a Stock 2 Prod Optic Ready … :-)). I am waiting for the replacement of my broken Shadow 2 by CZ.

I always shot with a Shield Mini-Sight red dots, they are very solid and not expensive at all. I shot more than 60,000 rounds without breaking them, which is not the case for many other brands and models (often more expensive).

I must receive next week (early Dec2019) my first Shield RMS red dot with the glass lens and no longer polymer as on previous models of SMS and RMS. It should be easier to clean, I hope it will be as solid as Polymer SMS that are really indestructible.
