We just shot the Extreme Euro Open 2021 in Hodonice, Czech Republic last week. First real match since…..The European Championships in Serbia in September 2019 !!!!
30 courses for 600 rounds minimum to shoot in 3 half-days, under a blazing sun and storms 🙂 That’s the Extreme !
The lack of competition and training was heavily felt the first day, forgotten targets, moving at the speed of a turtle …… Fortunately the 2 following days were much better, but not enough to make up for the first day and have a correct ranking. We are not going to complain, at least we were able to travel to the Czech Republic and shoot this match, that’s the main thing!
I obviously shot in Production Optic with my CZ Shadow 2 with Shield RMS 2 red dot . No particular worries except the screw which holds the spring of the magazine button which was completely unscrewed after 5 stages…. I had not checked after the 11h of car, I finished shooting the first day with the backup gun before seeing the problem the evening with the cleaning.
We had a great pension, with swimming pool, ping pong table, big kitchen, big terrace at 30 km from the range, but sincerely it was worth it. The atmosphere was super nice as usual with the team of AST Roissy and guests from Strasbourg. We had our national Remy (worthy son of his father) to prepare us a great breakfast to start the day! 🙂
